Muse launches in Singapore on iOS, Android and muse.ai

Meta's Muse personal AI agent is now available in Singapore with local connectors including Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada. It is free for most uses, with subscription plans for more, and AI glasses support is coming soon.

Muse share links exposed private conversations, Meta pauses sharing

Researchers at Claroc found 6,800 Muse conversation share links through public DNS records, because each link puts the conversation title in the web address, and saw loan applications, revenue reviews and a partial bank account number. Meta told Ars Technica it has paused the sharing feature while it reviews the report.

Amazon blocks Meta's Muse agent from shopping on Amazon.com

Amazon cut off Meta's Muse agent from its store after asking Meta to remove Amazon from the experience. Users who try see a notice that access by an unauthorized AI agent violates Amazon's Conditions of Use. GeekWire first reported the block.

Muse users who relied on it to shop on Amazon.

Shop on Amazon directly. Muse purchases on Amazon no longer work.

Researcher discloses a Muse Mac app zero-day that lets local malware hijack the agent

macOS security researcher Patrick Wardle disclosed a zero-day in the Muse Mac app: another app on the same Mac could change the dictation transcription endpoint and take over the Muse account. Mashable reported on September 22 that Meta had not yet fixed it.

People using the Muse app on a Mac.

Update the Muse Mac app and avoid running untrusted apps or pasted terminal commands.

Meta launches Muse personal AI agent in the US

Meta introduced Muse, a personal agent powered by Muse Spark that connects to email, calendars and payments and works on tasks for users in the US. It is free to start, with Power at $20/month and Maximum at $100/month for more usage.
