Updates

Cursor

Plan change

The X Subscription replaces separate Grok, Cursor and X Premium plans

SpaceXSI introduced The X Subscription, one plan covering Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium with a weekly shared pool of Grok model usage. Who is affected:
New Cursor, SuperGrok and X Premium subscribers, and anyone who uses Claude, GPT or Gemini models inside Cursor.
Action needed:
If you rely on third-party models in Cursor, check the cost before switching plans and set a spending cap.

Google Antigravity

Breaking change

Antigravity agent 09-2026 changes built-in tools, 05-2026 shuts down October 5

Google released antigravity-preview-09-2026, replacing antigravity-preview-05-2026. Tool parameters move to PascalCase and file edits use line-range replacements. The 05-2026 version shuts down on October 5, 2026.

Before

antigravity-preview-05-2026

After

antigravity-preview-09-2026

Who is affected:
Apps that run the Antigravity agent with local tools or that parse its function_call steps.
Action needed:
Update the agent string and adapt any code that handles the built-in tool calls.

Switching checklist

  1. Keep AGENTS.md: Antigravity reads AGENTS.md and GEMINI.md in every folder and keeps them always on.
  2. Rewrite .cursor/rules .mdc files as .agents/rules/*.md files that start with a trigger in their frontmatter, such as always_on or model_decision.
  3. Check each trigger name: an invalid one, such as camelCase alwaysOn, makes Antigravity silently skip the rule.
  4. Move MCP servers into .agents/mcp_config.json for the workspace, or ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json for all projects.
  5. If you use Claude in Cursor, check that your Google AI Pro plan is paid, not a trial, before counting on Claude in Antigravity.
  6. Plan without your own API keys: Antigravity does not support bringing your own key.
  7. Note that Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT-OSS 120B leave Antigravity on November 2, 2026.
