Cursor is my editor. I work in it all day, but these days I mostly run Claude Code and Codex inside it as extensions rather than using Cursor's own agent. When I moved to it in 2024 with Claude 3.5 Sonnet, the jump was big enough that I recommended it to everyone. Nowadays, when most of my work is done via AI agents, I don't find it as useful anymore. Also, it tends to push you towards using Cursor's AI chat and latest features, which I don't love. In the age where you can use Claude Code, Codex, or a control plane like T3 Code directly, I'm not sure Cursor is well positioned.

Short excerpts from public posts, each linked to the original.
"It feels horrible I run through 50% of a weeks usage in 4 hours in one day doing tasks that by my previous guesstimate would’ve been ~14% for the month"
"I'm using the $8 plan for the autocomplete - I don't use Grok at all. It seems you still get unlimited tab completions on the Plus plan, so it's a pretty good deal IMO."
