OpenAI finds abuse systems wrongly rate-limited some Codex accounts
OpenAI's status page investigated reports of Codex usage limits depleting faster than expected from June 26 and said some were caused by its abuse and fraud prevention systems incorrectly rate limiting certain accounts. It was resolved June 29, 2026.
