Claude Code falls back to an older model on Vertex AI and Bedrock when the newest is unavailable
On Vertex AI and Amazon Bedrock, the sonnet, opus and haiku aliases now switch to an older model when the newest is not yet available to the account or region, instead of showing an error mid-session.
